[He's still smiling, but it starts to fade a little. Being optimistic all of the time is starting to wear on him a little.]
Because I feel like I've been trying to work together this entire time, but everyone keeps getting killed anyway. I trust everyone, even the people who made mistakes, but it doesn't stop the people I trust from being turned into monsters and having horrible things happening. And even Lio - I trust Lio more than anyone, and I trust myself. But if I hadn't lucked into getting that feather, I couldn't have done anything to save him.
I'd really like to know if there's something I can do.
You did save him. You have helped. [ but they get what galo means, so they tap their leg lightly with their fingers... ] Something is coming. The end. It will need everyone together.
Are there other feathers, or vaccines? There's some people here who I think feel like . . . Hunter and Lio both got saved, but a person they care about didn't. And that makes it hard to trust everybody, right?
I cannot give rewards outside of when they are deserved. [ they at least look apologetic about it? even if that. doesn't mean anything specific. ] The losses have been difficult.
[ considering lio's victim was kind of. working for blue. and all. ]
Well - one of them was to clean your roof. But also, it’s partially just that we’re all in this murder house and then the tasks happen without telling us why or what for? Which makes it a little hard to relax and have fun.
Pumpkin changed some of the tasks... She is a troublemaker. [ they sound fond when they say it though?? even though she made them do her job. it's fine. ] The girls are meant to say... it is a fun game? A break from the rest.
[ they are. really just that socially awkward, yeah. ]
[He's still frowning, but he smiles a little at that.]
Well, that's what I meant about having a real conversation! We could talk to the girls, so even though everything here was bad, we still figured out we could trust them. But we couldn't talk to you, so it was hard to be sure what you wanted from us. The girls trusted you, but. . . you can trust somebody and be wrong, you know?
But now that we've talked, I know you're looking out for us, and that the games really are supposed to help out.
I do not know... the term for you. [ for people, is what they mean. ] I believed I was the only one until it called to me. [ they gesture at the walls around them ] So I came to see. It was... a mistake.

[He isn't being defeatist, though. Just . . . ]
You saved him, so I'll listen and I'll wait for now. But I can't just accept things the way they are for much longer. The end better come soon!

[ they're matter of fact about that, and nod at him ]
Soon. Things are being put into place.

[He sighs, like he's accepting that answer.]

We have to make sure things are fair.

Maybe this is rude, but like - what are you?
