PROFESSORS RULEBOOK 2.0
PROFESSORS
It's an ordinary Tuesday. Whether you rose with the sun or enjoyed a little lie in, the day proceeds as it has just like the days before it. However, sometime in the early afternoon you soon feel an increasing sense of curiosity that compels you to open the nearest door. No matter where you are, this door leads you to a small, cozy office. The fireplace crackles, soft lights illuminate the furniture around the room, and the three members of Master Blue's staff immediately rise to their feet.
"Greetings, Professor!"
ROLE INFORMATION
Every Tuesday, Professors will be allowed to choose one guest to learn of their whereabouts and ongoings in the mansion. The Professors must agree on who this person is, as they are only allowed one choice per week. Once the Professors have selected a pick, the staff will provide them with a list of guests their pick has spoken with in the past week, locations they have visited, and other relevant information.
Professors will also be able to send one anonymous message to one guest in the game per week. This person may not be the same as their other pick, and the Professors do not have to agree on a recipient. Should a note not be sent that week, the opportunity will be lost.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
The Professors will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the mansion. They will also be able to receive small hints should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the staff have final say as to what information is shared. Be sure to pick your questions wisely!
While teamwork is encouraged, it's not required. That decision is up to you.

[There's a pause, though, and... he glances to the floor, a little ashamed.]
... Your position was previously held by Mammon-san. I'm sure you can guess why he had an interest in protecting Meltryllis-san.
no subject
[ .... ]
Galo, though? That was real?
no subject
[Just. Point blank.]
Yes. We verified his fluctuation levels last week, and he was clear at the time. [...] By the way, do you have a smartphone? We receive our results through an application.
no subject
[ it's not smart. ]
Can you elaborate on the fluctuations?
no subject
[BRICK-SAN...]
They monitor the subconscious dwellings of a person. In simple words, anyone with a fluctuation level over zero percent will apparently become a monster by the end of the week. It's our job to eliminate the threat before they can claim someone's life, or... do damage control if one slips out of our grasp during the trial.
no subject
Eliminate, huh.... by any means necessary?
That hasn't happened so far, has it?
no subject
[Quietly.]
But if we identify someone whose fluctuation levels are high, we won't have a choice. Restraining them won't work. The ones who tried that last week with Meltryllis-san are lucky they didn't actually find her. And without another dose of the antidote... [He trails off, frustrated.] Well, I'm sure you understand where this is going.
no subject
[ (also he was part of that group) ]
I'm a little too old to be going around killing monsters.
If we had an antidote, we could inject it right away. Is that right?
no subject
[Hmm... He has to pause to think about that, lifting a hand to his chin.]
... I assume we could. I don't see a reason why we couldn't. But we should ask Plum-san before we jump to any conclusions.
[Might as well be safe!]
Oh— And by the way, please don't let anyone know about our positions. The sisters were very adamant that we keep this a secret to avoid the occupational hazards that come with spying on our fellow guests.
no subject
Fair enough. But even if we clear someone from suspicion.... they could fluctuate the following week, couldn't they?
[ his secretive ass wasn't planning to, but hey. ]
Sounds like a plan.
no subject
[It's, um, bad.]
As we may only check one person per meeting, we have no choice but to play it by ear. It's frustrating.
no subject
[ very bad. ]
The oddity is the one behind all of this, I'm assuming? When it picks a host, they transform based on their subconscious?
no subject
no subject
[ what's confusing you, akechi!! ]
Do we know anything else about the oddity itself?
no subject
The sisters have no idea what's causing it. Their master is supposedly looking into it, though I haven't asked for a progress report this week.
[A pause.]
... I was not given any guarantees, so keep that in mind. But the sixth and seventh rules may be removed if we find a way to stop the blackmail and the oddity once and for all.
no subject
[ ... ]
The blackmail....?
no subject
[(x) doubt]
The announcements. First, we were told our secrets would be revealed if no one killed of their own volition. Then, we were not allowed to sleep. And now, it seems that they're dangling the possibility of escape in front of our faces in hopes that someone will fall for it.
no subject
Someone will, if last week's any indication.
I have a theory the previous guests might be responsible for that. What do you think?
no subject
[Stop being cryptic you fuck.]
no subject
[ normally he would turn it around on akechi but this is a special circumstance, so he will be forthwright this time..... winks. ]
The style and story is different every week, isn't it? And they've all come to this house. We also know that there are ghosts haunting this mansion.
They could also be previous occupants, I suppose. Before Master Blue arrived.
no subject
[PLEASANTLY! SMILING! Though he makes a good show of not letting it reach his eyes, his smile kind of drooping at the edges because, ah... Too soon.
After a beat, just a little downtrodden now:]
Um... I see. I can't discard that possibility. [But... hm. He taps a finger against his chin.] Have you tried the ouija board in the museum yet, Wright-san?
no subject
[ gosh, akechi........... ]
I have. [ it's in progress so phoenix will come back to this ] Are you going to share your theories with me now, senpai?
no subject
Akira and I used it to communicate with one of the individuals I found in the morgue. I can't say if what I saw was real— [Because their senses sure have been fucked with.] But she claimed that her group received similar announcements. The difference is that they weren't physically affected by them.
no subject
[ woof. ]
Did it more or less play out the same way?
no subject
[...
He visibly hesitates here, before he adds:]
Everyone in her group died. Now, she's a ghost in this mansion.
