i guess in terms of really strong moments though - anya loved mammon. mammon was her like, second favorite person in the entire mansion right after beau. losing him shocked her, and scared her, and made her feel so sad that she started to keep notes to say goodbye to people because she thought she had more time with him and then didn't - SO. knowing that hunter did that? it was a complicated emotion for him, because she didn't blame hunter, she didn't. anya has no complicated emotions about saving certain people, because she wants as many people to live as possible - but she could see why people would blame him because there was some level of association between hunter and the monster who took away one of her favorite people. however, she saw how intensely he was beating himself up, and that pretty much immediately became a second thought. she was insistent about staying with him, and being his friend because anya herself is a very, very lonely person. she never wants anyone to feel the same loneliness that she does, and she imagined it was three times as worse with hunter when he blamed himself. so she couldn't offer the words, she didn't think, but she still wanted to stay with him because it was the little she could manage.
AND THEN ALSO, MEMSHARE WEEK? WOW. when she saw how he gave up and was okay with dying in that memory - it made her so upset, because she wants hunter to want to live. she wants him to feel like it's worth fighting for his life, and she can't really say she ever really understood what he was thinking or feeling, but she was scared he'd try to give up at some point. so it's why she made him promise "through water and through fire" that he'd keep trying. she also fucking died that week so it was really ironic and funny, but listen. she was sad though, because she wanted to be hunter's friend for a lot longer than she was.....
the last week with him was pretty hilarious tbh, i'm gonna say that she didn't mean to break the favor he asked of her - but it was a combination of anya being called a heartbreaker for a few weeks, and her thought process of "I will take care of as many hearts as I can and be responsible about it" sO SHE CONFRONTED JL,,,,, she feels a little bad, but i hope you know that if jl didn't apologize to hunter during the endgame log, anya would've fucking held onto her grudge for like five years. quietly and elegantly, but the second that jl brought it up to her, she would've been like "YEAH, I HEARD, AND-" but it's fine,,, (it's not, she's still going to try to get jl to not be that awful to anyone ever again bc she was mad)
but when it comes to the idea of not seeing him again, she's very resistant to it - because anya is hopeful and optimistic at all times, because she thinks that's her job as an idol some days. but when he asked her to grab all the orbs for him? she got SOOOOO EXCITED WOW, BECAUSE IT MEANS HE'S DOWN FOR REBELLION, HELL YEA. anya isn't good at goodbyes, like, at all. she's very much "see you later, i don't care how much later" and for hunter she feels that even moreso. she just wants to get any chance to see him again, because he's become a favorite sweet friend to her and she wants to hang out with him more. but even with the time they had, she treasures him. also she thought that his relationship with 45 was SOOOOO CUTE, SUCH A HIGHLIGHT DAMN
anyway yea, one of these giant pillowcases full of orbs is for hunter, and she's going to stash it and tape it up so she can never use a single one - because they're all for him when he makes it to her :) because he will. :)
