Phoenix wasn't sure what to make of 45 for a while tbh and he still kind of isn't, like he absolutely doesn't understand what she is and has stopped trying. technology is hard, he's an old man, let him live.
that being said, he wasn't sure what to make of her at first! she seemed very obviously shady, was flippant, and basically acted a lot like he did, something that made him ???. also, the affected eurorock accent. she acted strange and suspicious in trials sometimes, but she was a valuable source of information. but upon looking closer, he got the impression that like him, she did care and was trying to come off as unaffected. she helped with hunter, she took his suggestions to heart despite the constant them trying to pawn work off on each other, and he kind of figured she was more strange than suspicious. despite that, he wanted to check her to clear her as a detective so that he cound confidently say she wasn't possessed (there was a solid like 30 minutes in subete's trial where he was heavily suspecting her), and she was clear, which made him feel better! but basically, her using the antidote on Hunter despite pesonal risk but trying to act cool about it and just him generally reading between the lines had him more and more convinced she was a solid ally on their side against the house. that's part of why he tried to nudge her to investigate certain things and talk to the girls, because he wanted her to get more into the loop and couldn't really freely give out his info (also he's shady, so that)
he didn't see the execution but did hear about it, so her helping to save both lio and galo got her solidly in his good books! and he had fun teasing her when she was trying to pretend she wasn't. so, this means he ended up liking her and seeing her as a solid ally. her visiting was a sincere offer, but he didn't think she'd take him seriously-- when she got confused about it, he pushed more to try to fluster her. he also wants to inflict her on klavier for a laugh. but he did like her, overall, even though she's weird and he doesn't understand how she works, at all
poor phoenix, i will never ever be able to talk to the npcs of any given game outside of trial day, this is a fact, so if plot is tied up in npcs ripip
aka she would never have found anything to talk to them about, because that means she's going to them and expecting them to answer things for her, it's not how she works. independent action or bust
