okay so dazai was the roommate that ken liked in the first place over ayabe because he didnât baby him. dazai was just weird and weird was fine. dazai being weird was just about dealing with personalities at that point and he can do that easy enough. though, at the same time, he could never get a good read on dazai and that left ken kind of wondering how he should interact with him⌠which also meant that ken ended up being a lot of âwell I guess this is just how itâs going to beâ and âjust dazai doing dazai thingsâ. which then kind of lead to ken being indifferent towards everyone⌠or as i like to put it: ken was nice and friendly enough for it be an amicable relationship but being friends wasâŚsomething he would hesitate on.
of course, all of that changed when trial (that I wasnât there for) happened and dazai ended up murdering and ken got to sit in with the pow-wow, which he felt kind of awkward being there since he wasnât as close as ayabe or chuuya (at least thatâs how he felt). still, it doesnât change any bit of what ken said because he has never told a lie in this entire game and shame on anyone who would think that ken would lie!!! âŚhe just tells half-truths. Itâs not a lie; itâs just not the entire truth. Nods. either way!! dazai being dead made ken realize that he should do more to help/be considerate of his roommatesâŚ
in a way, when dazai died, ken felt like he should be friends with ayabe (especially when he learned his angst), so thanks for that dazai??? but he was still glad to write to dazai and especially glad to see him back for the final week. ken found it like a mixed blessing that he could have time to really be earnest towards dazai.
âŚthen he witnessed the âwhat is this evenâ between him, chuuya, and ayabe and ken felt as though he has lived an extraordinary long life. regardless!!! dazai is friend and i need to tag back on end game. u_u
