[ It doesn't take long for Plum to appear in the lounge-- and, hm, appear is probably the word, considering she shows up without a noise. She is expressionless as always when she greets Isaac; ]
[ despite everything, plum shows up to the lounge the same as the last time; quietly, promptly, and with a seemingly unaffected air about her. She curtsies when she sees Isaac ]
[ he's deeply subdued. he's also holding something behind his back, and fidgeting. ]
I guess... man, where do I even start? Uh ... here.
[ he was holding behind his back--a piece of paper! on this piece of paper is--a sketch! of plum, smiling. it's not very good, but he's got the basic idea there. ]
he shrugs, shifting from foot to foot, a little embarrassed. ]
I just wanted to do something nice for you. For Peach and Pumpkin, too. Because you guys deserve something nice, and ... I wanted to say sorry for being such a jerk. During the trial.
[On Monday when Isaac rings the bell, Peach bounds into the study almost immediately after it's done. She lingers in the doorway upon seeing Isaac, tilting her head curiously. ]
[It's a bit of a climb for little kitty cats to make, but when Isaac rings the bell Peach wanders up to the third floor and ventures into the bell tower.]
Good morning, Mr. O'Connor. [Polite, but she's giving him a light smile anyway.] You rang for me?
Sure I have! Never been inside one before, though. So that part's pretty cool. Although I keep wondering how much more of this mansion we're going to discover exists, haha. It's gotten pretty huge.
[Isaac can probably hear the jingling of her bell and when she appears it's with a tray with two mugs. Hm. She's also looking at the stairs before looking at him]
...well, then what are we waiting for? [Swish swish goes the tail, and she's immediately heading for the stairs? With the tray? One of them definitely smells like coffee but the other smells like hot chocolate. UPSTAIRS. PUT YOUR SHORT LEGS TO THE TEST, ISAAC!!!]
[ for once, it seems like plum is not in the business of surprising Isaac, and she walks into the museum calmly, looking around in vague interest until she gets to him and curtsies ]
Good evening. [ she tilts her head lightly ] Is this a social call?
[ she's starting...to get the hang of who wants to hang out, ]
week 0; monday
You rang, sir?
no subject
[ he jumps and
nearly falls over bc what is balance.
he clings to a chair to hold himself up. ]
I-I...!
[ .... he sighs out, his expression evening into something more somber as he glances away ]
Originally I was just gonna say hi like we talked about, but ... but I needed to call you for something else. ... I ... wanted to apologize.
no subject
Apologize, sir? Whatever for?
no subject
not that he isn't already. he's quiet for a long moment, frowning, but then he forces himself to meet her gaze. ]
I'm the one who messed up the lounge. And I know you're the housekeeper, so... so I owed it to you.
no subject
On your own, sir? Considering the state of things, that's quite the accomplishment.

no subject
[ he's doing his best. ]
I, um ... I had something for you.
no subject
...okay. What is it? [YEAH SHE'S JUST. CONFUSED. Please explain small human.]
no subject
[ if she draws close enough to see the piece of paper he's holding out,
she'll see it's of her! he's obviously not the best artist, and it's pretty anime, but it still manages to be surprisingly cute. ]
I, um, I wanted to do something ... nice for you. After the trial, the other day. To ... to say sorry.

Good morning, Mr. O'Connor. [Polite, but she's giving him a light smile anyway.] You rang for me?
SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK. F U.
[ He's got a smile for her in return, even if the dark circles beneath his eyes signal why he doesn't sound super enthusiastic. ]
It's nice up here, huh? I dunno what it is, but I like it.
[ ... he had a point for calling her up here but he's sneep and proceeds to get easily distracted by small talk. ]
pushes to the ground
The view's pretty nice. You've never seen a bell tower before? [Great, they're both easily distracted. This will go well.]
