I do this for another of the participants who cannot hear. He can read another's lips and talk to a limited extent, but... it's definitely a struggle for him, too. I think the kindest thing we can do for one another is learn to communicate.

[They're watching her quietly, nodding along as she writes. They know who she's talking about, of course, and they seem to be approving this method. They'll pause to read before pulling out a blue pen to write back.]
