Ah- no, I didn't mean it like...

[he falters a little bit there, frowning a little as they tug their bangs into place.]

I'm sure you're- not really in a position to speak too freely! Not a bad sort of cryptic, exactly--

[please he's not the best at this]

...they can be. I'm used to dealing with them in very different ways than I've had to here, so I- suppose I can understand, somewhat...

[not entirely because (gestures at like, blue's everything whereas he's human) but you know.]

-a couple of them.

[he fans himself, idly- it's more like he just needs something to do with his hands.]

It's... well, I suppose there's at least one good thing in all this.

Do you have trouble with that?

[fortunately nhs is super used to people sounding condescending and just. ignoring it.]

To be honest, I think I'd have given up on all this long before reaching this point, in your place.

[he shrugs one shoulder, there.]

So you really must be doing something right, when it comes to seeing good in things.

Patience alone isn't enough to deal with-- all of this.

[a little wave of his free hand, there.]

I might be human, but I do know it still takes more than that to keep one going. Cultivators tend to live longer than your average person too.

[they get a smile out of him in return, there.]

...it's a good motivator, I think.

[he'd know, he more or less functioned on spite for (checks wrist) a decade.]

It just takes a certain type to be able to use it as fuel, rather than being burned out by it.

A type of per-- er, individual, I mean.

[his fan taps against his chin.]

A personality type, might be the better way to put it.

I am.

[a nod of his own, there.]

I have been for some time, at least.

[he blinks at that-- then breathes out a little huff of a laugh.]

Ah- of course you would be aware of them.

[someone had to know shit for the profiles?]

Was that a part of why?

[a slight tilt of his head, there.]

I can't help but feel you could have picked more useful people than myself and young master Jin, to be honest with you.

What is it that you usually find interesting, then?

[could he be asking actually useful things, sure

but sue him, he's curious about them.]
