Is it Master Blue who can change them?

Okay! [Nodding! Now he feels like he's getting somewhere.] Can you pass it on? Also, tell him I wanna talk to him face to face. But at least you guys should change the rule where someone has to be executed even if we don't find the person who did the killing, yeah?

[Giving her a thumbs up to show how reasonable this is.]

If the point is really justice and protecting everybody, that should be easy to do!

Mmm. Probably the wererat would bite more people. But wouldn’t that also still happen if we executed an innocent person?

Just pass it along. If Master Blue really wants to show that you guys are only looking out for us, he should be able to change the execution rule so we don't have to kill an innocent person if we really can't solve it. If he does that, we'll do our part and try to find anyone who's doing the killing.

[Galo, this is not going to work. But he sure thinks it will.]

You ever had guests die here before...?
burningrescue: (they'd carry me home)

[personal profile] burningrescue 2020-02-26 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno! Seems relevant!

[personal profile] burningrescue 2020-02-26 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
So, basically, yes. This isn't the first time people showed up here and died.

[personal profile] burningrescue 2020-02-26 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
So how does the Master decide who to invite, anyway?
burningrescue: (they would carry me home)

[personal profile] burningrescue 2020-02-26 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
So Master Blue just invites a bunch of people here and tells you guys to prepare, and also wants you guys to handle doing trials when somebody gets murdered, and you never asked why?

[personal profile] burningrescue 2020-02-27 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, yeah! That's something I wanted to bring up to you guys, actually.

[Taking a deep breath, like he prepared a speech, but he absolutely didn't and he's just going to say whatever pops into his head like usual.]

I report to my Captain, but I question his orders all the time! If something he says doesn't sound right, then I'm going to do the right thing instead. And that's okay - [It's not] - because in a crisis, Ignis knows he can trust my judgment, and I know I can trust him to explain why I can't do something if it really matters. That's called respect.

But just being loyal to someone and trusting whatever they say, even if it isn't adding up, and even if you think you aren't getting the whole picture - that's no good! If they really care about you, then they'll be willing to tell you and let you make up your own mind!

You get it?

[He really thinks he's nailing it and they'll let everyone go.]

If I found out something I thought was right was actually wrong, then I'd change what I was doing and try to make everything right again. It's that simple, as long as you believe in yourself.

Really? Huh.

[That. Surprises him. He may be idealistic, but that doesn't mean he expects plenty of others will be, too.]

I think a lot of people think this way, or they could, if they tried. But if Master Blue wants to talk, I'm listening!
