Gently........... sets the safe back down................]
... Disregard that. [Goodbye, pride.] Have either of you spotted any additional numbers in the room? We're lacking four digits, in addition to 3, 4, 6 and 2, for an eight digit code.
They're on the corpses, aren't they? Half of them were running around in the dark, and one of them was a raccoon.
[ They wouldn't have seen shit, Akechi. But anyway she'll glance over the muck and slime and general zombie gore. Thankfully for us and Ty, the first thing that jumps out is the severed arm with a neat ink job so before she goes looking closer at all the dead zombies, she'll just. Stare blankly. Sigh. Pick it up, and wander on over to Akechi before keying in 34627777, because that's the order he recited his four numbers in.
And if that doesn't work she's going to ask him to show his work and explain how he ordered the other four digits. ]
[So. 3462777 does not work. While Akechi is explaining his work and while 45's trying other orders, she will eventually find that keying in 46277773 will actually get her results and the safe clicks like it's unlocked. I'm only saying this because you figured it out in the DM.
Nah. What's the worst that could happen, him losing his fingers to the safe? It's fine. He survived the zombies. If only she could have outsourced more of the effort to the other two here. ]
[And then the safe exploded and that's how Hunter Hunterson died.
Wouldn't that be something? So the safe is opened and since all three of them are there, they'll see that there's a small wooden box, a fat white envelope, and a thick stack of files.]
[...I'm gonna break this up a little because this is a lot so let's do something.
Hunter's going to find a list first and foremost at the top of the files!
Fridge #1: Jessica Jones Fridge #2: Sora Fridge #3: Adrien Agreste Fridge #4: Oerba Dia Vanille Fridge #5: Rocket Raccoon Fridge #6: Varian Fridge #7: Cloud Strife Fridge #8: Joel Fridge #9: Rise Kujikawa Fridge #10: Elizabeth Fridge #11: Yosuke Hanamura Fridge #12: Goro Majima Fridge #13: Perseus Jackson Fridge #14: Timothy Drake Fridge #15: Prince Sidon
The files include full names, ages, statistics, locations and general notes about these fifteen people. This includes photos of all of them while they were alive, and a cause of death, abilities, etc. If Hunter's going to look at someone's specific profile please tell me because I'm not writing all of them.
45 will open the box and she'll find three fun prizes! One is a bangle bracelet with three beads attached containing some kind of liquid, one is a small handheld camcorder, and one is a syringe filled with a mystery blue liquid!
Meanwhile, Akechi will open the envelope and he'll find what appears to be a journal entry...Kyuu I gotta know, is he going to read it/share with the group or is he going to be an asshole and pretend there's nothing there?]
Fashionable new accessories.~ ♪ [ It's trilled out in a tone that should be illegal, as she demonstrates the bangle. ] Doesn't it go great with all the slime and general viscera?
[ Also yeah there's a camcorder and syringe thing in there. Have fun looking. ]
[45 will also find that there are two slips of paper. The bracelet, she'll learn, will explode on contact if she throws it or drops it. The camcorder only records 10-second clips, but is otherwise functional.
When Akechi takes out the paper to read, he'll also find a small metal key that falls out and falls on the floor when he unfolds the pages.
The entry is dated for October 31st, though the year is illegible.]
It has come to my attention that few are cognizant of the issues presented in the identification of the dead. In many cases, a medical examiner cannot create a death certificate if the body is missing or cannot be properly or accurately identified at the time of the certification. Without proof of a cause, can the victim truly be claimed as dead?
Subject 9's heart beats steadily and seems to fully function on its own after isolating the anomaly. Subject's 6 and 11 continue to serve as a standardized test of durability, and while subjects 2 and 3 have formed some sort of bond, subject 15 remains increasingly hostile and subject 12's cause of death still remains unidentified.
The most unusual guest, subject 13, continues to prove himself to be highly intelligent post-mortem. Though incapable of speech, subject has shown immense strength of will and almost seems to display human-like emotions and understanding. Reconstructing the body has proven successful, and other subjects have been properly disposed.
The answer continues to allude me, but the last of the guests have been finished off. It appears as though several of them lived well past their time of death, though most of their minds have quickly deteriorated. So long as they remain in their cells and are isolated from one another they are manageable. Regardless, I fear that they may overwhelm me in this house the longer I study them, and if a proper method of killing is not found soon.
They grow stronger every day. Though proud of the work accomplished, I still wonder what it's all for.]
It sounds as if they were kept elsewhere before they were brought to this room.
[The entry references a house, after all. Either way, he pockets the envelope and note, maybe grabs some alcohol swipes because Ty should suffer, and makes sure he has all his belongings with him.]
Regardless, we can discuss what we have found once we have taken care of our injuries. [...] You should ask the sisters if there's anything to be done about yours, 45-san. It's not fair if we can recover from this while you can't.
[Does he really think that, tho. Either way— Time to leave! Goodbye, zombie room.]
[Goodbye fwiends! The key works for the door as Hunter unlocks it, though they will hear a click from somewhere else in the room as they start to file out. Once Akechi steps out last, the door will shut behind them with a soft, skittering sound heard before all goes quiet.]
