[Well, here the three of them are at this door! Surely nothing will go wrong on this day. Hunter is looking at the door for a long moment after glancing at his two companions.]
[For a moment, it seems as though nothing's going to happen. The door stays still and locked, the metal blending in with the rest of the doors on this floor and the lock still sturdy.
But after a few moments and after Hunter asks politely, the group will hear a quiet click as the door begins to swing open. It's pitch black inside, and the door only opens a crack. Even from the hall they can feel that this room is chilly, and there's a soft thrumming noise inside along with a gentle drip of water.
[why does he sound surprised even though it was his idea
Anyways, he's going to step in just enough so he can feel around the walls near the door for a light switch! He should probably have asked the other two if they were ready? And yet.]
[ Wow, and they didn't even have to resort to drastic measures. She'll let him feel around the wall for a bit- she's more interested in something else.
Anyway, does that thrumming noise sound electronic, the the hum of a generator, refrigerator, something? ]
The room sure is DarkTM, so Akechi will fish through his pocket with his free hand before pulling something out. Specifically, a red smartphone! If Hunter doesn't immediately run across the lightswitch, he'll try to turn on his phone's flashlight before stepping into the room so they can get an idea of where the fuck they are.
How chilly is it? Refrigerator chilly, or heavily air conditioned room chilly?]
[It sure did work! And once all three of them are in the room, the door slams shut behind them. That's nice. The air itself feels refrigerator-chilly, and 45 will probably be able to tell that the hum is, in fact, something electronic. It seems to be coming from the back wall. Hunter will have to stretch his arm a little to find the switch but with some fumbling he'll find it about a foot from the door. Akechi's flashlight will only really show him that the floor is linoleum, and there's a faint glint of gray from somewhere in the middle of the room.]
45's glowing eyes startle the fuck out of him, enough that he immediately points the flashlight at her — and lowers it once he realizes it's just her.]
... My apologies, 45-san. I wasn't expecting— That is, your eyes...
[... He's also trying the door again while Hunter takes care of the lights. It's probably super duper locked, but might as well confirm it.]
[Well, 45 will get the sense that it looks like a long piece of metal that extends up from the ground. Akechi will find that the door sure is super-duper locked, but luckily for them Hunter's turning on the lights!
The lights flicker a bit, like they're resisting being turned on but after a moment they settle. At the center of the room are two stainless steel metal tables, both covered in white sheets and with...something...hidden under them. The wall directly opposite of the door houses several steel refrigerators that hum almost cheerfully, most of which are closed. There may be one or two slightly pulled open, but that's probably not alarming at all. On the wall to the left of the tables and refrigerators there is a washing station with a counter containing several autopsy tools, a hanging scale, two overhead cabinets, and a sink that's gently dripping. On the wall to the right there's another counter and cabinets hanging above. Pristine white body bags are folded into squares and resting on the counter as if waiting to be used.
Hope this group is comfortable, because they're about to become acquainted with the morgue.]
[ To Akechi: ] My eyes? -Oh, haha. Yeah, they'll do that.
[ meanwhile hunter is living his best life with the bonesaw, hopefully that doesn't trigger anything I'm crying ]
I'm pretty sure that you've jinxed us now that you've said that. ♪
[ She's going to scan the far corners first before she edges further into the room. A gently dripping sink....... was someone here recently, or did they just not turn the faucet all the way... ]
... The door is locked. But let's not lose our cool, yes? [Did you hear that, HUNTER?] It's important to remain calm in the face of adversity.
[And since the lights are now on, he will switch his phone's flashlight off and stuff it in his pocket. Once that's done, he will head towards the right side of the room. Is there anything on the counter beside the body bags? Anything between the body bags themselves? If not, he will set the dumbbell down on the counter and reach up to try and pop the cabinets open.]
[I hope Hunter enjoys staring at the lights because that's all he sees up there. He can also enjoy his bonesaw. If 45 veers over toward the sink, she'll notice there's a smudge of fingerprints on the faucet and handle like someone was here recently. The water is dripping and inside the basin of the sink there's a little red mixed in with the liquid at the bottom.
Meanwhile, Akechi will find that there's nothing on the counter except for body bags and empty name tags. Two bags are set a little to the side, however, and seem to have tags on them! They're also partially legible if Akechi feels like being nosy and checking those after he opens the cabinet.
The cabinet above the body bags appear to have more name tags, some cleaning supplies, and a small metal safe. Hm. Okay.]
[Since Akechi is looking at the body bags and 45 is looking at the sink, Hunter is going to head towards the middle of the room and those white sheets. Is it possible to tell once he's closer up what's under them, or will he actually have to remove the sheet?
He is definitely keeping a tight grip on the saw because he 100% expects zombies.]
[ If it's zombies 45 is immediately going for the headshot and shooting them. With what gun, Mauyn? Listen don't worry about it. ]
Be on guard, said the human to the gun. But you're right. ♪ Someone was here not too long ago, it looks like. There's prints here, and what looks like either red ink or blood near the drain, probably.
[ Anyway, fingieprints... she doesn't have anything to save it other than just. Saving it to memory, so hopefully Akechi's phone camera works. Does the hanging scale or the autopsy equipment near the sink look freshly used, or is it clean.
That aside, let's open up the cabinets! Nothing can go wrong here. ]
[... Well, then. First thing is first! What kind of safe are we talking about here? Is it one with a keypad, a keyhole, or some other mechanism entirely? If he tries to move it, is it too heavy to remove from the cabinet or nah?
That said, 45's words definitely cause him to perk up.]
Fingerprints? [CLUES??] Without touching them, how large would you say they're in comparison to your own fingers?
[Maybe he'll head over to take a picture once he's done snooping...
Anyway— He will read the two tags on the counter, and then look at the tags stored in the cabinet to see if there's anything written on them. After that, he will take a moment to check out the cleaning supplies. What kind are we talking about? Anything hiding in the back of the cabinet, or beneath the contents? Maybe under or above the cabinet itself, if it's not right against the ceiling...?]
[The objects under the sheet seem to vary in size, one a little longer than the other. There are places where the sheet is tented but it's billowy and kind of loosely tossed over. He might have to pull them back to get a better look!
Fingieprints...if 45 compares them to her own hands, they're a little larger. They're about what you'd find on an average-sized man and just everyday wear and tear. It doesn't seem like whomever these prints belong to was in a hurry. The equipment looks like it's clean though, so that's...probably nice. The cabinets above this counter, however, contain a few fun items! These include syringes, bottles of formaldehyde, and a few jars containing organs! Hm. There's also soap and clean towels.
The safe is the kind with a keypad and though it's a little heavy because it's made of metal Akechi could, in theory, pull it down from the cabinet if he really wanted to. Show us how swole you are, Gornboat. But regardless, the tags in the cabinet are all blank, but the tags attached to the bags set to the seem to have a few letters smeared off. However, he can read:
V I N and O S E H A U.
The cleaning supplies are things like alcohol swabs, latex gloves, paper towels, cleaning supplies to wipe down the tables and fridges, etc. There isn't anything hiding in the back of the cabinet or under the contents, though there are some dark, small jars lining the top of the cabinet. It's hard to see what's in them though from this far away.]
They look to be a bit bigger, detective. Maybe- probably male.
I don't suppose either of you has any use for a creepy doctor's stash? Up to and including soap, towels, syringes, formaldehyde, and, oh, some organs in jars.
[ Just going to carefully inspect her vicinity for now while Hunter offers himself up to the zombies. Everything's flush, right, no false/hidden backs or anything? ]
We have made our way inside a morgue, so I suppose I shouldn't feel surprised, but that's still... [Making a small noise of disgust at the mention of organs... Yikes.] No, more importantly... We have no reason to believe one of the "guests" has made their way inside this room. There's a chance those fingerprints belong to Master Blue.
[Hm.
Is it possible to see how many letters were smudged off, or is it one big smudge with only those few letters visible? He's going to snap a quick picture if he can, before returning his attention to the cabinet. The safe gets taken down because he doesn't want to forget about it, smh. He will also steal a handful of alcohol swabs and latex gloves, slipping on one pair before carefully reaching for one of the small jars lining the top of the cabinet. He misses his gloves. Let him live.
Anyway, what's up with those small jars? He's totally engrossed in this while Hunter maybe dies. It's fine.]
[It's one big smudge across with only a few letters visible, like some dumbdumb wrote on it and then leaned on it with their hand. I'm glad Akechi's stealing a safe and also other stuff, that's fine. Anyway, the small jars seem to hold...trinkets. One jar contains a silver stud earring. One jar contains a pink and white hairbow. One jar contains a pair of orange-framed glasses. One jar contains a pair of black gloves. They're varying sized jars now that he's taking a look.
45 will find that there's a small door in the back of the cabinet she's checking out, flush against the back wall and locked. Without a key, there's no chance of opening it though.
As for Hunter, when he pulls back the sheet he'll find...a person. It's a teenage boy, somewhat pale with light brown hair framing his face that's a little on the shaggy side and spiked at the end. His hair's also matted with blood so that's nice! If Hunter pulls the sheet down further, he'll find that the body is nude, as though it were undergoing examination. Probably for the best given that there are multiple stab wounds on his person. They'll have to do a proper examination for anything else though.
