[ First of all, it is important to mention that the door did not budge a single inch as they all rammed various body parts into it. But when Galo runs in, swinging his axe... it hits the door lock, splintering it easily. Maybe too easily? Nah.
Once that happens, the door creaks open slowly. The inside seems almost pitch black despite the light in the hall. There is no sound coming from it for a hint, either.
[Okay, well, you've all interacted with Lio. You've probably got a decent handle on what he's like. Very serious. Sure, kind of a hot-head, but not . . . the guy who yells 'HELL YES' and then
[ Beau catches Lio, but Galo strolls on in with no issue. And also doesn't like, immediately die? In fact, nothing happens to Galo at all. It's just very dark. He can't see anything and the other three are still outside, so... ]
[ The four of them walk in, and there's a sudden gust of ... wind? Bad news: the door slams shut behind them. Good news: the lighter is unnecessary, because some lights flicker on! And flicker is the appropriate word here. Old lights buzz weakly overhead, showing off the dusty, mucky floor tiles of the hallway they seem to have wound up in. Was the door locked because Plum hadn't gotten to cleaning it up? A broken down wheelchair stands close to one of the four numbered doors lining their path. It stretches out and splits into two further down the line, a seemingly impossible feat for what should be a room in a house, even one as big as Master Blue's.
Most importantly, those of you familiar with them may recognize the setting as what seems to be the remains of a hospital. Neat. ]
brilith is going to go try the door, which I'm assuming isn't going to open. bad! she hates that a lot! but if they're really stuck, she's going to join the others again. whatever happens with these crazy kids is probably still safer than being left alone. ]
A hospital...? [ hm. ] It could be some sort of magic, like everything else they do here.
[ ah. see, beau hates that the door slammed shut behind them, so she also spends a good amount of time trying to open it again if they're stuck. either way: ]
It's creepy in here. [ she grouches, rattling the doorknob. ]
[ The door does not open! So it looks like everyone has no choice but to follow Galo. There are four doors in this hallway, two on each side. The numbers are faded, yet they can still read them clearly: 101 and 103 on the left, 102 and 104 on the right. The windows on the doors were probably not meant to be opaque for privacy, but the caked dirt sure makes them seem so! No peeking allowed, then.
The broken wheelchair, once they step closer to it, seems to be stained with something dark red. The metal that makes it up is rusty beyond repair.
The hallway continues further and splits into a left and right path.
[ yeah, brilith is giving that thing a good, wide berth. she's not going any closer to a broken, bloody wheelchair than she has to, thanks.
so... there are doors. cautiously, she'll approach one on the opposite side of the hall, the one numbered 102, to try the door. if it opens, she's just gonna peer in from the hallway. ]
[ beau also just dips around the wheelchair because no thanks. she watches brilith and lio go to each door, and she gives galo a questioning look before heading off to room 103. guess she'll try and open this one and peek in to see what's inside.
she's ready to stop doing that and catapult herself over to any danger if needed, though. ]
All four of them attempt to open their respective doors... and, unfortunately for me, none of them were locked, so let's go over them.
Room 101 is your standard patient room. That is, if your definition of standard includes rusted metal, dirt caking the floor and walls, spider webs in the corners of the rooms and furniture being upturned. There is a bed centered in the middle of the back wall. The covers form a gross, dirty lump. A small cupboard stands to its left and a visitor's chair to its right. The window inside the room is too caked in dirt to see out of currently. Hooked at the foot of the bed is a clipboard that has seen better days. There is a closed door that presumably leads to a bathroom near the entrance. If Lio looks closely, the lump of covers seems to be ... shaking.
Room 102, on the opposite side, is much the same but mirrored. However, the bed has been stripped of all covers. Only a dirty pillow remains. Instead, there seems to be a something growing out of a dark stain in a corner of the room. A mushroom, perhaps?
Room 103 like the rest is a patient's room, but this one contains two beds. They are arranged side by side. Nothing else here seems out of the ordinary.
Finally, Room 104 ... is completely bare save for a large window that seems to shine a beautiful light into the room. ]
[ why did i have to get the wiggle lump room i hate you zia im crying tears are on my face
anyway, as always, Lio had zero impulse control brain cell and just strides on in - he will actually pause briefly to grab the visitor’s chair, like a tiny lion tamer, before he just rips that blanket off without reading shit or fuck! Haha! ]
Not much in here either. Just two beds. [ beau says, glancing at brilith. she instinctively reaches out to hold onto brilith's hand and only just barely diverts her hand to touch brilith's arm instead. nice. smooth. ]
I think we should probably look closer with everybody -- [ a beat. ]

So what will they do? ]

runs into the room
but he's doing that]

[ brilith is going to spend this entire log screaming internally, and maybe a little externally. ]
Lio?! [ AAAAAAA ] At least get a candle first!
no subject
and okay look, beau's stupid but she's not gonna just RUN INTO A PITCH BLACK ROOM stop drinking that galo juice lio wtf ]
Lio -- ! [ she makes a grab for him, trying to drag him back, not wanting him to get eaten by a grue. brilith out here sharing the brain cell. ]
no subject
I did it!
[And then despite all the commotion he's also going to just kind of stroll inside. Why not?]

CONTROL YOURSELF!
[Turning to Beau and Brilith, presumably, he's still being held back. Digging in one of his TACTICAL JOGGER pockets, pulling out a lighter.]
I can light the way.
[And assuming he's free to go, then strolling in after!]
no subject
[ she says this but if beau goes inside too, she'll trail after. ]
no subject
[ beau can't believe galo just. walked in. sigh.
but yeah, she'll head in after lio carefully, resting a hand on brilith's arm to lead her in. gonna protect her if needed!! ]

Anyone in here? Hello?

Ah.
[A pause.]
How does this fit in this house?

[He agrees with Beau. On the other hand - ]
We need medical supplies, though.
[So he’ll keep heading inside to see what he can find.]

So far, all is quiet. What will you do? ]

We shouldn’t linger.
[ anyway, fuck it, no impulse control zone - just gonna try one of those doors. 101, because that’s what impulse demands. ]

No wonder everyone’s getting nasty diseases if this is their hospital, huh?
