[Look at that. Nia's happily smiling! With a fully intact head! If Ash looks at Melt's profile though he'll see that nothing has changed at all.]

That part's a little more difficult to interpret. [She frowns.] Master Blue doesn't always tell us what the tools around the mansion do, but usually people figure it out with trial and error.

[ ash just pauses at nia for a fraction of a second too long, before moving on to melt. Then he lowers the triangle. ]

So. We keep poking things until it works. I can be persistent.

[ c'mon then ] If here’s a dead end, then we check the new floor. If you guys don’t know what this thing does, then someone’s gotta figure it out.

Let's try the new floor, then. The music room.

Why the music room? [She's not exactly objecting, but she's interested in the logic. Luckily for them, she'll begin walking on her own.]

[ well then. Ash tucks the triangle — and his own hands — into his pockets. ]

... something you want to check there? I wouldn’t mind checking the games room myself. It kinda looks like a board game piece, doesn’t it?

No, there's nothing in particular I want to see there. It was just the first room I thought of on the new floor.

[he is heading towards the stairwell now!!]

The game room is fine, too.

[Up the stairs they go...]

We can check both of them if you'd like. [But once they get to the top of the stairs on the third floor, Peach stops and seems to linger in the center.]

Music room may as well be first since it's closest.

[ He's not expecting an answer, but he's gonna try. ]

If you were a lost guy in a murder mansion, where would you check first? I'm fine to check everywhere if I have to, so we could be here a while.

But let's check every room we can. Music room first, then the game room?

Wherever you'd like to go, we may check. [But she'll lead them into the music room! What're you going to look at in here my guys.]

Fine, picky. Assuming you'd already rattled the door on the hinges.

[ Huh. He hasn't gone in here yet so it's all new. For the moment, he's just gonna do a sweep of the room, triangle held to his eye, before holding it out to Akira in case he wants to look at anything super particular. ]

Kitchen. For a snack.

[after Ash does his sweep, Akira is gonna take the triangle and look at the pipe organ!!]

[On this mini invest...they're going to find that the triangle reveals nothing! The music room is nice and clean and full of fun instruments. The pipe organ has the note asking that guests don't destroy it signed with a purple paw print. Peach is busy playing with a bongo in the corner while they're doing this.]

Not a bad order of operations, I guess.

[voidbreaker]

[ Ash just reaches out and bops Akira on the forehead - lightly. But still. ] And then to the windows to rattle those until they open?

[ Welp. At least they know, and can move on. ] Nice percussion.

Rattling doors and windows takes a lot of energy.

[turning to the exit, and this time he keeps the triangle placed over his eye as he steps into the hallway, giving that area a quick sweep]

The game room, then?

[She'll follow along! If Akira's doing a sweep of the hall, before they head to the game room he'll notice that the two locked rooms are glowing a faint, soft blue. It's almost invisible. This can only be seen with the triangle.]

Game room's fine by me.

[voidbreaker]

Game room it is then.

[ Akira still has the power within his hands, so when Ash enters the building the look around he gives it is gonna do literally nothing, but look around he shall. ]

[Akira stops just outside the game room, focusing the trinket on one of the glowing locked doors]

Wait, Ash--

I found something.

[approaches the locked door to rattle the doorknob]

[He can rattle the knob and see that it's locked! It continues to glow though. Peach is just...watching, though she seems to be more relaxed now that Akira's doing that.]

What're your thoughts?

[voidbreaker]

[ Ash turns to look over at the doors that have caught Akira's attention. Heading over to him, he grabs Akira's hand with the little trinket and tugs it to look through it himself.

Is there something keeping these closed? Like a barrier, or a shield or something.

[the blue glow is actually a bit reminiscent of. . .]

It kind of looks like my Third Eye.

[cluedin]

A third eye? [Listen now she's just staring at Akira's hair like he's hiding an eye in the middle of his forehead.]

It might just be stuck? Sometimes the doors function differently than the others. I don't think it's really a barrier or anything like that...

You only have two eyes, dude. [ He's staring at the same place. ]

It's not supposed to be locked?

[survivaltricks]

No, no. My Third Eye. It's an ability I have at home that can reveal things that are hidden.

{a hum]

Usually they glow bright blue. Just like these doors. So if it's not a force field, then this is an item that works similarly to my Third Eye.

It shows us what's hidden, or what's important. Something useful to have when exploring new rooms.
