[ The shoe stays on the floor. It is part of the floor forever now. :( Rip.
Now that Zenitsu is looking at it, the shadow on the ceiling... turns to look at him. It's got a big eye in the middle of its body and little orange spikes are covering it. It is maybe the size of a marble?
[ phoenix jumps back, one arm grabbing chuuya to pull him back... the other raising above his head to shield zenitsu. dad has got his work cut out for him, god ]
[What the fuck are you even going to do while holding back two teenagers, Phoenix?
Chuuya is totally grabbing the crowbar like a baseball bat. If Phoenix fails and the eye-thing comes for him, he's gonna aim for a line drive to the outfield.]
[ It's a direct hit! Chuuya stops the thing from landing on Phoenix! It flies off... or, wait, does it? He stopped it right in its track, but there's no sign of it afterwards. ... Until they look at the tippy top of the crowbar, where it has apparently stuck to. It just stares at them, blinking once. It makes no noise. ]
[ Zenitsu had a point, because after a couple of shakes the thing does fly off! Towards Phoenix and Zenitsu. Wheeeeeee. Spiky does not seem to have any feelings about this.
The fact that this is only one tiny ball is really sending me. ]
just kind of hanging out? It feels a little heavy, but otherwise, it is about the equivalent of one of those spiny balls from a tree on you. Except this one has an eye.
[It's only because this room is scarier than the current state of Phoenix that Zenitsu continues to cling with taut muscles. Hurry up and get rid of that thing! If the bed doesn't work, the puddle of glue is right there!
While he doesn't complain aloud, his heavy breathing does a good job of conveying his anxiety.]
As much as Zenitsu would love to hang out on Phoenix's back some more, even Chuuya is probably looking around, so he disembarks to check one set of bed and nightstand. But just the one, and his hands tremble the whole while as he waves the yellow glow stick around.]
[ I rolled to see which one set of bed Zenitsu would get vs Phoenix, so Zenitsu opens the nightstand and there's an entire mini army of the little spikies who all turn to stare at him at once from the drawer.
The one on the bed just sticks to the pudding cup.
Phoenix, meanwhile, won't find anything in the bathroom... but he will find this odd looking flute in a nightstand! So. You win some, you lose some, nightstand wise. There's nothing else to be found, though. ]

Zenitsu screams and ducks his head behind Phoenix's arm, not doing a single thing to stop the marble-sized creature's approach.]
It's coming! It's coming this way! A tiny monster!

It's sticking to your crowbar.
[ thanks, phoenix. he looks around to see if there's anything else around. he doesn't like this. also zenitsu please stop screaming ]
Can you shake it off?
no subject
[He'll just. Shake the crowbar a bit to try and get the thing detached from the crowbar.]

D-don't shake it this way! What if it jumps again? Point it somewhere else!

(Knowing my luck, it's probably going to eat through my flesh or something....)
... let's just keep going, I guess.

[Phoenix was once the safest presence here. Now Zenitsu is very afraid.]

[ but he goes to one of the beds, and if it looks safe enough, try to wipe the friend off on the bed so it has something new to cling to ]

Anything interesting?

I didn't see anything. I didn't see anything. There's nothing here!
[He whirls around and all but throws himself at Phoenix.]
If that's all, let's go already! I've had enough of this place!

Zenitsu closes it fast enough they do not jump on him, but he can probably hear them thud against the drawer. Let them out. Let them out!!!! ]
