I bet I can kick it down. It shouldn't be too hard, even without my powers.

[Here they are, two kids crowded by the locked door. Zenitsu doesn't sound too convinced.]

Can it really be that easy? Just how strong are your legs?

Strong enough to kick a door in. Just watch.

[He shoves his hands in his pockets, and he totally does this huge dramatic turn to kick at the door!

...which is ineffective, because we already decided on that.]

[That looked like a whole lot of impressive nothing.

But Zenitsu will give Chuuya the benefit of the doubt. There's a pregnant pause, and then he approaches the door to press his hand against it and push. When nothing happens, he jiggles the handle.

Still nope.]

[Time to KICK IT AGAIN clearly.

And once again, nothing.]









[Turning to Zenitsu.]

I'm not weak! The door is- it's cheating!

[This poor guy is having a crisis and the door hasn't even opened yet. Zenitsu doesn't doubt that Chuuya is, at the very least, stronger than him.]

What else can you do, besides kick?

[Grr Grr- no, he needs to calm down here and think.]

If we can find a crowbar or a screwdriver we can break the lock and pry the door open, maybe.

[There, there.

He looks over his shoulder to their left.]

Do you think the research laboratory might have those?

[He took a peek earlier and it was a bunch of stuff he didn't really recognize.]

[He doesn't really want to go in there, but.]

How about you go check?]

Just me? You're not coming?

I'll stay here and check out the door. Maybe there's screws or some hidden lever or something.

[He's not creeped out by the laboratory, nope.]

[Come on, Chuuya! Don't make him go alone! The laboratory is right next to that other creepy laboratory with the skeletons. Zenitsu makes a face, but nevertheless steps in the direction of the research laboratory.]

Fine. I'll go by myself, then. But you'll have to use whatever I bring back, because my arm's still no good.

[He turns around and leaves momentarily. Chuuya is free to use this time to kick the door as many times as he'd like. When Zenitsu returns, it's with a crowbar.]

[Sorry, he is not about those creepy laboratories.

But when Zenitsu brings back the crowbar, Chuuya will take it.]

It's fine, this works.

[And he's going to jam that fucker in and try to break the door free of the door frame. Which is also going to fail, but he's Trying.]

[While Chuuya tries, Zenitsu plays the part of the backseat trier.]

Come on. You can do it. Put your weight into it!

[He really puts his all into it, pushing against that crowbar, nearly bending the wood back-

But it's all for naught, and eventually Chuuya has to give up.]

Nah, not working. The door's too strong.

[That was close. Maybe a grownup would have had a better time with the crowbar, but Chuuya did well by himself.]

It looks like a regular door, though. Exactly how strong can it be?

How the hell should I know? We'd probably have better luck with a bomb or something!

[He might actually be tempted to make a bomb here, too. He wants to get in this locked room, danger be damned.]

A bomb?

[There are other people roaming around this mansion, not to mention other rooms located nearby. Is a bomb really the best way to break into a locked room? (There was that explosion last week.)

With a furrow in his brow, Zenitsu reaches into his kimono and pulls out a bundle of dynamite.]

I don't have a bomb, but what about these?

You had fucking dynamite this whole time and you didn't say a thing?!

[He drops the dynamite due to a combination of fear and some more fear.]

O-o-of course I didn't! Who uses explosives on a door? Kicking it down or using a crowbar was normal, so I thought we should try those first. Don't shout!

Well they obviously didn't work! Give me that!

[He's trying to snatch the dynamite away now.]

[There goes the bundle of dynamite. Zenitsu doesn't even attempt to take it back from Chuuya.

This guy is, after all, associated with the mafia and previously some group called Sheep (seriously? Is that why his legs didn't do anything?). There's no messing with a person who can snap him in half.]

[It's probably a good idea, Chuuya is. Kinda mean sometimes.

He's not going to use the whole bundle though, he's going to try to weave one stick out of it to use by itself. You never know when you need to blow something up.]
