[well, at least the bomb hasn't exploded yet, but wow, gotta rush. also don't like that oil is spreading around this room with two bombs.]
Damn it...
[he's going to move the bomb away from the door because who knows which direction it opens in! don't want horikawa slamming the door into the bomb or something!!
grabbing one of the empty can as he dashes over to the locker (if he opens the can, is it truly hollow), he'll try the three numbers horikawa gave him—do they open the lockers? if you say no i'm gonna cry.]
[ well at least he managed to grab the scroll before he slams back into the ground, both arm and thigh burning painfully from the cuts and bites. HERE’S HOPING ITS NOT POISONED OR ANYTHING, HAHA! ]
Ouch…….
[ Anyways, now that the metal door is busted open, Hori takes a moment to check on Agni, hmming quietly when he realizes he looks panicked and moves on. Agni has that handled, right? Right. He's just not gonna worry about it this tag.
Besides, he’s climbing over to Ayabe, grabbing the shiny usb drive off the floor on his way. Gotta make sure their youngest survives the ordeal outside of bouncing around the room. ]
Are you alright, Ayabe-san?
[…. Honestly, he looks rough but all hori has on him is bandaids in his pants pocket right now. Maybe they should just put Ayabe in the chair until they're ready to go. ]
[ Ayabe is literally in the least danger of dying compared to the other two unless I'm mean enough to make that broken rib puncture a lung.
He gives some sort of wheezy groan in response to Hori's question, but pulls himself up onto his feet- everything feels like it's on fire, but he can stand. He also has adult painkillers in his guitar case so he's just getting those out to dry swallow two pills, drags himself over to Hori to hand him two pills, and Agni... is fine over there in the other room? He sounds like he's doing okay/Ayabe has no idea he also fought a monster. He looks busy with something so Ayabe's not going to bother him.
While Hori grabs the usb drive, Ayabe goes over to those clocks that had fallen to see what's on the back sides. ]
[Luckily for Agni, this bomb cheerfully ticks but the numbers Hori provided do open the lockers! The can is truly hollow except for a wade of twine for some reason or other. Inside the lockers however are a few things including a small medical kit containing three vials of a clear liquid, some bandages, and some alcohol swabs. There's also a mirror, a helmet, and a golden hammer.
Funny you should say that, Ari, because while he won't be dizzy or anything, Hori's bite mark will slowly turn an ugly purple color as it drips black and oily liquids. Gross. Agni's doing his best which means everyone can ignore him, apparently, as Hori goes to check on Ayabe.
The backside of the clocks have a few pictures designed like hieroglyphs. They appear to be pictures of a waterfall, a lion, and an eyeball. Holding it up, the eyeball seems to look at the computers themselves.]
[great, nabbing them. he's also putting his sword away to free up his hands—honestly, this hurts like hell with one mangled arm that will undoubtedly become worse thanks to this, but sometimes you just gotta sacrifice an arm for the greater good. also the claw probably got one of his eyes, but yeah, he's fine. definitely.
he actually has medical supplies with him, but no time to bandage himself up!! he can just die of blood loss later.
what the hell is he going to do with twine. he glances at the bomb ticking down to a soon [whatever will happen] and keeps a mental clock, because yeah, he will yeet it into the space he dropped from if he has to. but not yet.
after grabbing the stuff he tossed, he moves closer to the entrance between his and the others' room. behold his stash, which is helpfully notated on card's picture.]
Don't panic, but there are two bombs in here. There's a manual for defusing them, but in a different language and the colours don't match the wires. Anything over there that can decode it?
[actually, he's just going to step in and look around himself. does anything in this room that was found previously seem like it could be related to the manual/wires/bombs?]
[ hm. bad. he's just gonna frown at his arm while aybe's back is turned, and slowly grabbing the other items he may have missed earlier on. god. is that syringe of Stuff still in tact? the cds??? ]
Bombs?
[ Horikawa sounds Tired lmfdfgh. ]
I didn't get to see much of the room yet before we got attacked. The computers haven't been accessed yet but I found cds for them and a.... [ gestures vaguely like that's gonna explain what a usb stick is ]
[ Agni: don't panic, but there are bombs Ayabe: panics
WHY ARE THERE BOMBS! WHAT THE FUCK! ]
Thumb drive... Use that in the computer to see if there's any files on them. [ he tells the 313940534 year old sword, while he holds the eye clock up with his good arm and moves it around a little, the eye shouldn't move, right? Waterfall just makes him think of the blood room, and lion... Yeah, no clue.
This tag is just Ayabe slowly dragging himself around the room so he can stick nonessentials into his guitar case. He is going to loot this place. He didn't come in here for nothing. The army helmet goes on top of Hori's head, as if it can still help. ]
[I'm glad Jan's just stockpiling injuries on Agni but that's fair. Blood for the blood room gods. This group now has a lot of stuff. There are definitely things you could look at but like I said you all 100% ignored them so like. Ganba. Though after they rattled themselves around, it seems like some of the pins are free and the maps are hanging from the wall with...some colored lines on the back? Hm.
As Hori dies a slow and gentle death, the syringe is still fine and the CDs are miraculously also still fine. The computers gently flash and wait. If he uses the USB stick and plugs it into one of the computers, this friendly guy appears. He begins to lurk, crossing the monitor...and disappearing to another monitor? Lookit him go. He's just going to go back and forth, gently erasing every log-in screen bit by bit.
The eye on the clock moves. Why wouldn't it move? It seems to be pointing to one specific computer, not quite on the end but more in the center. There it stays. Anyway Ayabe's loot might be useful to look over!!!!!! JUST SAYING!!!!!]
[i have to make up for the fact that nothing happened to kagachi "jan he sprained his wrist" NOTHING HAPPENED TO KAGACHI
ALSO AYABE PLEASE LOOK OVER YOUR LOOT anyway agni nyooms for the maps. what are the colours. do they look like they could match a bomb's wires or the manual.
actually, he's going to grab the maps and head back to bomb room.]
while he ignores any goo and whatnot happening to his arm, hori puts the usb in and hm's loudly when the ghost appears. is this a good thing? is it a OH NO MY DOCUMENTS bad thing? WHO KNOWS. what if he pops in one of the cds to try? we'll say the pink one just cause it was on probably on top.
ayabe please bring your loot and join hori before he just slinks on the floor and dies ]
[ This looks like an OH NO MY DOCUMENTS thing, actually. Ayabe drags himself over to the computer the clock is pointing him towards and hopefully this is the last one that'll get eaten, because it looks like they're on a time limit for the password. Is there anything special about this computer?? Is there a mouse he can wiggle, what if he just presses enter on the keyboard and hope there's no password.
BUT OKAY. After setting up camp, it's time for inventory. He takes out what he has from the guitar case and lies them carefully on the ground so he and Hori can look over everything. What he probably ignored that he shouldn't is that binder full of papers, but it's at least easy to put blueprints in order from the ground floor up. Does the order of the organs mean anything?? Is he putting the pages in order and holding it up to the light and seeing if things overlap and reveal anything? idk what I'm doing here.
Ayabe also asks Hori to lay out what he found, in silent hand gestures because I decided just now that Ayabe's lung has been punctured, so breathing and speaking hurts but he won't die, probably. Apparently the treatment for a collapsed lung is to stab a hollow needle into his chest to reinflate the lung, very cool.
But anyways. There should be the things Hori found in the army uniform- the scraps of paper I'm not sure we got an answer to whether there's anything written on them? Is the syringe empty? And also that number 3 that Ayabe can take and replace in one of the telephones, if it's a physical dial pad button of some sort. I'm not sure what the 3 means. ]
[Agni gets to go to the bomb room with the maps because they do look like they match the wires! However, there are very obvious holes in the layout of these lines, seeing how they cross over each other and have a specific order. The back of the maps, when laid out, make something of a puzzle with some pieces obviously missing to show how to untangle the wires and what order to cut them.
Luckily, Ayabe has those pages seeing how the blueprints have very faint colored lines on the back of them. He can see the lines when he holds the papers up to the light, so maybe pass those to Agni to put the puzzle together and figure out what you’re doing with only a few minutes on one of the bombs.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY OH NO MY DOCUMENTS bad seeing how the little ghost eats away every possible space available for a password. Popping in the CD means that the room is suddenly filled with the very loud sound of a beating heart. Ayabe can continue beating up the computer, but it still needs a password.
The scraps of paper seem to be…tickets? They’re torn, like movie tickets, and have the words TRIATHLON printed on them for today’s date. The syringe has about half a syringe worth of clear liquid in it.
Anyway if Ayabe replaces the 3, the…bomb door closes again. It was literally to open or close the door Agni was in but then a bat-creature slammed into it and rendered it useless. So that’s nice.]
after ayabe reopens the door, agni sure is returning.]
Any other papers with lines on them? I need them—now!
[OTHERWISE IT'S THE YEET A BOMB DOWN THE VENT SOLUTION
but card graciously decided to give the necessary papers to agni, so once that's done, he rushes back. also, slams down the door shut in case the explosive goes off. protect horikawa and ayabe!
this is a TERRIBLE thing to do while steadily suffering from blood loss and with only one good arm, but guess what? not a single person here has two fully functioning arms! so he's just going to suck it up and worry about his injured arm and/or pop a painkiller later.
anyhow, he'll put that puzzle together as fast as he can. imagine if the instructions are wrong!! because once they're assembled, he has no choice but to follow them with time ticking down.]
[ BEATING HEARTS HUH? Hori will be trying the other two cds because like heck he knows what the password is. he will actually voice that thought out loud to ayabe in between attempting to click the ghost away like the most aggravating p*c-man version of clippy. away thee villain!! god here's hoping i'm not blind and forgetting about anything else more important.
by the way, does hori have to start worrying about tingling and numbness and maybe keeling over or is this a slow acting......... whatever it is. should ayabe just jab hori with mystery syringes? I personally think so. ]
[ Is Hori not going to say anything about his decaying arm because Ayabe will absolutely not shoot him up with mystery substance that may just kill him all the way.
He has no idea what to put in for passwords. LRLLRRR? 81314? WATERFALL? LION? EYE? PASSWORD?
If there's something important, somebody else is going to have to bring it up, because Ayabe takes a seat in front of the computer and opens his scroll. ]
[The room is all over the place, oily, and all of you are broken in a bunch of different directions…but at least Agni stops the bomb with a whole five seconds to spare! Great! Now you just have the other one left that probably doesn’t have that much time left either. Oh well.
Is he just going to stay in there…?
The orange CD will play the sound of gasping breaths, and the purple CD is the sound of what you’d hear from a modern-day life monitor in a hospital just before it flatlines. Beep. Beep. Beep.
The ghost is trying to eat the cursor, Hori’s hands are slowly going numb as the edge of his vision darkens, and Ayabe fails to insert a password. At least his scroll seems to be important seeing how it’s another map. This appears to be one of a race track though? Hori and Agni’s are similar, and when put together side by side it shows a map including a shortcut to take.
[ all these cds are bad actually. anyways, since hori's fighting a losing battle against a 8 bit ghost and starting to fade out irl he'll just point out there must be something they're missing to ayabe and just kind've.... sliding to the floor halfway through. he's fine, his eyes just momentarily crossed and he just needs a moment....! (on the floor! forever!)
yeah no the purpling/goo/whatever the heck it's doing is totally obvious to ayabe now. suck it up sword boy.
[ Oh. Uh. Hori is dead. What is he supposed to do, stab Hori's neck and inject mystery substance?? He would sooner cut off Hori's arm with his own sword to amputate.
Anyways I'm looking at Ayabe's inventory and he has like. The fake arm??? If there's no password written on the fake hand, then I don't know. ]
Babo Kim! Help me! Something happened to Horikawa!
[ He's dead, Jim! There's still time on the second bomb, so forget it for a moment and save Hori's life. Also find the password and get us out of here, I don't know what else there is to look at besides the locker key and there's no lock anywhere that needs opening. ]
[The wires are wrapped around the table and also bolted down so. He would have to figure out a way to cut it off anyway. Maybe figuring out the Hori thing is easier. Please someone help Hori.
Anyway. It took you 70+ comments to look at the arm and on the heartline of the fake palm is a string of letters: FCFEKFBRMSRLBTOMDADKQSSRAHLJMFFIPBFDTHHHSDJV
[NYOOMING BACK TO THIS ROOM and looking horikawa over]
Oh, shit. Has he been poisoned...?
[LOOKS AT HORI'S SYRINGE? LOOKS AT THE SWABS IN HIS MEDICAL KIT? there were three vials of the same liquid too, maybe in case they all got poisoned? can't believe this is a thing we have to debate doing.]
[....yeah you're on your own, let me know what you're trying lmao bye. There's a syringe with half a dosage of clear liquid, the three liquids in the vial are identical, and it's entirely possible Hori is going to die.
Except hey. The telegraph seems to be typing out a new message? The clicks are different now.
