GRAVEYARD
THE GRAVEYARD
No two deaths are ever quite the same. Some might remember the exact moment their lives were cut short; others might only see a blinding flash of light; the particularly unlucky ones might not recall any details whatsoever.
No matter how it ended up happening, though, all of you here will always have one thing in common: one second you're dead; the next, you wake up to find yourself in a dark room. Before you can even start to try and get your bearings, a shadowy figure appears in the doorway of your room, face lit from the bottom up by a faint, almost ethereal glow. It stands still for a few seconds before murmuring,
"Oooooh... I see dead people."
... The voice is followed by a snicker as a gloved hand flicks the light switch on, revealing the mysterious entity to be Pumpkin, the fox-eared groundskeeper. Lowering the game console that had illuminated her face, she continues, "That one never gets old. Anyway, hey, sup, you're dead, that sucks, the house is probably gonna eat you as soon as this round is over. Wanna see what everyone else is up to on the other side?"
As you take in everything the gardener has told you, you suddenly realize as you look around... though you don't see anything, why does it feel like this place is already crowded?

She also looks out at the water's surface. ]
He'll be aching.
[ She knows Anya didn't mean to, but to lose something you finally decided to try to hold onto... It's heartbreaking. ]
All right. I'll help you say say sorry. Be honored.

... Mm. I am. Thank you - until we find a way to see them all again and I can apologize myself.
For now we have to be more efficient about who we reach out to but... I hope my sentiments can still reach him.

Let's go dance.

Meltryllis stares at Anya's offered hand for a moment longer than she should before she places her (sleeve covered) hand in hers. ]
If you find a way to attach swords to your legs, it'll make it simpler.
[ It's hard to say if she's joking or not. ]

Oh... I do not know if my pointe work is that good.
[she just
believes she's telling the truth]

For a second, Meltryllis freezes and it's almost like she'll pull her hand away, but she doesn't. ]

We'll work on it, and then you can be half as deadly as I am.
[ There's nothing wrong with making Anya more threatening. ]

anya glances over when melt freezes but - if she doesn't acknowledge it, then neither will anya! she's just going to hum a happy note and swing their hands gently on the walk back]
Exciting! I will try to learn well, Madame Instructor.

You better. I won't put up with someone who slacks.
