Nicer than you could have been. [...] There were others, I think, who wanted to try different methods to save her but that didn't seem to be what Miss Meltryllis wanted. When she spoke to the three of us, she wanted to know if that monster still lived in her. She wasn't really happy about the answer.

It's a little too convenient, and I think its promise can be very easily twisted.

Admittedly, I'd be interested in hearing what everyone thinks of the announcements themselves. A few of you have spoken to us about them, but not everyone.

The uncharitable theory would be that Master Blue is a sadist, but I'm trying to give all of you the benefit of the doubt here.
