Yep. The Primeval Gods are the only truly immortal beings, since their jurisdictions can never be destroyed. That means whenever the universe ends, the Primeval Gods create a new one.
So in this one, they made the gods, the sura, and humanity.
[sort of. at least some of these things might've carried over from the previous universe but i'm not touching that lore.]
Kali's jurisidction is Chaos, so she's about as... chaotic as you can expect. Wants to destroy the universe, and all that. The other Primeval Gods keep sealing her away.
Shiva's kind of a stern guy. He doesn't really interfere much after the universe is created.
[can you tell shiva is not important in this canon because we know nothing]
Brahma's the God of Creation. She's pretty famous for her neutrality on matters. To be honest, I'd say she's kind of lazy... Her attitude towards the universe nowadays, last I checked, is "whatever happens, happens." Still, she helps out the God of Death with all his paperwork, at least.
Last is Visnu, who was the most active of the Primeval Gods before he disappeared with Shiva. Really laidback, but also super enigmatic—the kind of guy who never gives you a straight answer to anything. He also placed a lot of importance on agency, and how what we lose or what we gain is up to us.
Yepyep. He's gotta cross off names when people die and check that their souls are sent to the right place, etc. His workload never ends. We all pitch in to help him once in a while.

Nah, I was born at the start of the universe, and with me came fire. Though maybe in the previous universe, there might not have been fire...?
