Well, I saw visions of the dead, doing mundane things. Then, the door to the room, and then the people I care about being torn apart—like they were being removed from the plane of existence.
... Last was a voice, saying, "To separate, all must gather."
That's usually how it goes. It's the thing that trips people up every time. [...] You got a chance to read Phoenix's notes, didn't you? What're your thoughts?
Well... it helped to clarify things, though we already knew the gist of most of it. That the house is consuming us in some way, and that we're being "challenged", in a way, to see if we'll give into the urge to kill. And that there's a way to save those who've been lost, like I'd asked about before.
But it's good to have more concrete details of what we should be doing, like finding the source.
Pretty sure you guys know exactly where the source is, if you think about it. It's then just about what you're going to do with it and how to really get to the heart of the matter. If that makes sense.
Yes. It's...the true source is hidden, but the house will continue to try and derail you from the truth by any means possible. That includes messing with your head, just like the last several weeks.
It's sort of like...you'll enter the start of the source, but it'll change almost immediately to hide the true entrance. So...physically it's there, but it's just the first layer. This house has more secrets than I think anyone knows.
I don't think any of us know. It must have existed before the Master was invited here, so...I suppose it came into being the same way they did. They just were. Master Blue has been trying to learn about the house itself but it still likes to play games and break the rules.
...sometimes it feels like an unbeatable enemy, but the Master continues to try.

If any of it was true, I wouldn't be surprised if it was presented in a way to lead us down a worse path.

It shows up differently in Ash's tool, it transforms itself, it was super dangerous when people unlocked it for the first time...

[none of this sounds too weird to him. he's dealt with a lot of mental battles in his life.]
How did the house come to exist, anyway?
