Yeah, that's the weird thing. We didn't even have to try to unlock it or break down the door or anything, it just kind of swung open when I asked it.

I mean apparently it worked, so you weren't too far off. Okay, so you asked the door that's been locked to open for you and it let you in. Then what? You were just...mauled by zombies?

We looked around for a while and opened one of the fridges, and that's when all the trouble started.

I'll totally tell you what happened if you want more detail, but the long and short of it is that we got into a big fight. I had another question, though.

What kind of question though? [And since they're here, she's just crouching down to extend a hand to some of the duckies in the pond.]

[He pulls the syringe they found in the morgue out, moving it back and forth so the blue liquid inside sloshes around a bit.]

Do you know what's in here?

[She'll hold out a hand to take the syringe, bringing it up to eyelevel and squinting just a little.]

...did you get this from that room?

Yeah, 45 found it. She let me borrow it long enough for you to check it.

[She's shaking it a little bit.]

It looks really similar to the antidote we were making when Nikki first transformed.

[counterclocked]

[He blinks.]

...Wait, you mean this could save someone?

[cluedin]

It's possible. [How the fuck does she know that just by looking at it.] It's the same shade of blue but without knowing the chemical components it's harder to guarantee...

We've never dealt with the transformations before, but if it was something you found after fighting zombies...it's a good hypothesis.

[There's a beat, and then a wide smile.]

That's - that's great, then! I mean, even if you think it might work... From what Plum said, it didn't seem like there would be anything.

[cluedin]

We didn't think there was. And if that's the only syringe you've found...that's probably still true.

...So it's a one time use kind of thing?

[cluedin]

Exactly. See? [She holds the syringe up.] It looks like it's just the right amount for one injection.

...How likely is it that you think we could replicate it, or find more?

It may be possible but it would take a lot of time and effort. I doubt it would be right away.

...Let me guess. At least a few weeks?

[He sighs.]

Maybe sooner. [She looks a bit troubled, actually.] But Hunter, you get what this means, right? There's actually a possibility of saving at least one person if it really does work. That's...good, isn't it?

[counterclocked]

Yeah. It's... amazing.

[But, he shifts back to something else after a minute.]

Hey, earlier you said the morgue hadn't been used in a while... If I give you a few names, can you tell me whether or not they've been previous guests?

[cluedin]

[She seems to think that over for a moment before she nods.]

Yeah, definitely. We've met a lot of guests but I try to remember all of them.

[counterclocked]

Okay.

[He tilts his head, trying to remember a few of the names offhand.]

Elizabeth was one, I think... Perseus Jackson was another, and Cloud Strife?

[cluedin]

[Hunter probably won't like this, but there's definitely recognition in her face.]

...they weren't all guests at the same time, but yeah. Cloud didn't always have a lot to say, but he was really strong. And Elizabeth was sweet even if she was still learning a lot about people. Percy was pretty nice to us, too, even if a lot of things frustrated him.
