-being there certainly didn't seem to help too much, either way.

[they still lost anya, they've still all been hurt, toi lost his whole eye...]

But it... could have been worse. [a pause, and-] Has young master Kuji talked to you about what he brought back?

Well, hopefully he'll show you at some point as well... I don't have it, but-

[but he is an artist, so! if peach hasn't seen it, he's going to do his best to make a quick sketch of what that picture looked like. it's not going to be detailed, considering it was blurry and he's trying to just make a quick outline so she knows what it is, but he'll add more to it as they speak.]

But it was something like this. A- photograph, I believe master Valentini called them? It wasn't made very cleanly.

[a little nod, there, as he continues adding a bit to it.]

It was with the other items we found, before we left.

They were similar to the other items we've been receiving.

[is he purposefully skimming over that because she's doing that? also maybe.]

Do you remember it, at all?

It really is easy to forget how old you three are.

[good lord. these ancient furries.]

Were there few occasions to have them made...?

Mm. I suppose that's understandable.

[he glances to the drawing, thoughtfully.]

Who was with you here-? And did someone else take this?

[he has never heard of timers he only knows about someone needing to hold the camera...]

Oh, is there--? These... photography devices truly are something.

[he should have learned more!! but the photographer did try to kill him, so.]

If it was that long ago-- your master's fairly old too, then?

[personal profile] unanswering 2020-03-16 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
... well, that's not really unheard of. Strong enough cultivators can live as long as they'd like.

[a little tilt of his head-]

Is it something like that?

[personal profile] unanswering 2020-03-17 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Not exactly. One has to build the strength of their golden core-- ah, it's what spiritual energy is channeled through. When it's strong enough, they don't need to eat or sleep to sustain themselves, and then that grows into immortality. Most of us already age more slowly, thanks to our cultivation.

...though, yes, it does take a strong will to reach that point. I really could never meditate enough.

Oh, do you think so-?

[he perks slightly at that, because please, let something be similar to things he does understand for once in this place with all its ELECTRICITY and GUNS and RUNNING WATER and shit.]

In the sense that it's... something your Master did to be able to live so long, and not just naturally having a long lifespan? Or in some other way?

The 'master-of-everything' type, then? But with that much time, there's really no reason not to be.

[a little pause, there.]

You've been around for some time too, though-- what have you done with all of it?

Plenty to stay busy with, from the sounds of it.

...does it get lonely, though, between guests?
